Jólabókaflóð (pronounced yo-la-bok-a-floth) is an Icelandic tradition known as the “Christmas Book Flood.” In Iceland, people gift books to one another during the holiday season and spend Christmas Eve enjoying their new reads. Inspired by this tradition, we're creating our own evening of bookish surprises, shared stories, and connection.
Your ticket includes a thoughtfully curated book package featuring:
- One hardcover & two paperback books selected with your reading preferences in mind
- Treats and goodies to make your reading experience extra cozy
When purchasing your ticket, fill out this short form sharing your preferred genres and reading interests. We’ll use your answers to curate a personalized package just for you. You’ll also have the opportunity to share some of your favorite reads, helping us connect readers with books they might fall in love with, too. Please fill out your form ASAP or by November 1st, so we can start curating your book selection.
At the event, we’ll unwrap our surprise books together, share favorite reads, discover new recommendations, and celebrate the joy of finding our next great story. Whether you’re a lifelong reader, a genre explorer, or simply looking for a cozy way to connect with fellow book lovers, there’s a place for you here.
Come as you are, bring your love of stories, and leave with new books, fresh recommendations, and a stronger sense of community.
Let’s make a little bookish magic together.
